Interviews are in-person from 10am to 11:30am on a first come first served basis
We only assist Stafford County residents with:
Utility Cut-off/Disconnect Notices (Electric, Water and Gas)
Court-Ordered Evictions- Summons for Unlawful Detainer (Civil Claim for Eviction) delivered by the Sheriff’s Office with a Hearing Date.

Due to limited funds, only the first 6 people in line requesting Financial Assistance and that have ALL of the REQUIRED PAPERWORK PRINTED will be interviewed and may be helped each Wednesday.
Please follow these requirements (no exceptions):
You must provide ALL documents listed on the application checklist.
All documents must be printed before arrival. If you do not have your printed documents, you will be asked to return the following Wednesday. Free printing is available at the local library. We cannot accept emailed documents. DO NOT email documents containing sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers.
You must have a Cut-off/Disconnect Notice or Court-Ordered Eviction.
The person being interviewed must be named on the Bill or Lease.
All assistance requests must be made in-person. We do not provide assistance via email.
Payments are made directly to the service provider or property owner; funds are never given to the applicant.
Our Financial Assistance program is run by volunteers on Wednesdays from 10am until 12pm. Volunteers cannot meet outside of these hours. Please plan ahead, as we may not be able to assist if you wait until the last minute.
Upon arrival, wait in your car. A volunteer will come out to assist you.
